MTSI is seeking a Senior C5ISR Solutions Architect to serve as our primary technical focal point for Army C5ISR efforts to join the team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Position Overview
MTSI is seeking a Senior C5ISR Solutions Architect to serve as our primary technical focal point for Army C5ISR efforts. In this role, you will lead the architecture, integration, and operational delivery of Next Generation Command & Control (NGC2) systems while partnering with MTSI executive and local leadership to develop and expand our market presence across Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).
You will act as the key technical and leadership bridge aligning our corporate technical capabilities with emerging Army customer requirements to shape technical strategy and drive business growth across the APG C5ISR ecosystem.
You will operate at the intersection of CPE Command Control and Integration (C2IN), CPE Intelligence and Spectrum Warfare (ISW), DEVCOM C5ISR Center, and other related organizations by translating warfighter capability gaps into scalable technical solutions while actively positioning the company for new opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as MTSI's lead technical authority for Army C5ISR, representing corporate technical strategy across APG / Army C5ISR organizations and other customer engagements.
  • Solution Identification: Collaborate closely with MTSI Technical Fellows and functional capability teams (e.g., Software Engineering, Cyber, Cloud/Edge Infrastructure, AI/ML) to match internal IR&D, core IP, and technical competencies with Army customer capability gaps.Translate internal enterprise innovations into tailored, mission-relevant solutions for Army C5ISR programs.
  • Market Strategy & Expansion: Work closely with MTSI leadership to build and execute account plans, identify capture opportunities, and expand market share across CPE C2IN, CPE ISW, DEVCOM C5ISR Center, and similar organizations
  • Thought Leadership: Represent MTSI at key industry events, technical symposiums, and customer briefings to establish technical differentiation and thought leadership.
  • Solutioning & Capture: Lead technical solutioning for high-priority proposals, RFI/RFP responses, white papers, and customer capability demonstrations.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to APG stakeholders, surfacing emerging customer requirements to shape future program strategy and contract vehicles.

Required Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field with 12 years of progressive experience in Army C5ISR systems engineering and technical business development (or Master's degree with 10+ years).
  • APG Ecosystem: Deep understanding of the Army C5ISR, engineering, and S&T ecosystem, specifically how CPE C2IN, CPE ISW, and DEVCOM C5ISR collaborate to concept, develop, and field C2 and intel systems.
  • Customer Relationships & Name Recognition: Established technical credibility, professional reputation, and trusted relationships across Army C5ISR organizations, key leadership, and program offices.
  • Cross-Functional Solutioning: Demonstrated experience translating enterprise/corporate capabilities and collaborating with internal R&D/Fellows organizations to deliver technical solutions for defense customers.
  • Market Development & Capture: Proven experience supporting market growth, capture management, technical proposal writing, customer briefings and building customer relationships across Army C5ISR organizations.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active participation and recognized technical thought leadership in APG regional industry forums, technical associations, and working groups.
  • Background in AI/ML model deployment at the tactical edge for automated decision aid tools within C2 environments.
