Food Service Worker

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain and maintain certification upon hire.
• Ability to read, follow, and execute recipes, food safety procedures, and preparation instructions.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fry Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Kitchen Team Member, or Food Service Associate preferred.
• Experience working in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer service environment.
• Experience operating commercial fryers and preparing high-volume food orders preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Food Handler Certification.
• Experience with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize during peak service periods.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists to operate kitchen equipment and prepare food.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work around hot surfaces, commercial cooking equipment, and kitchen machinery.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and visual acuity for food preparation and quality inspection.

Job Duties

• Prepare, batter, and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Safely operate commercial fryers and monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure product consistency.
• Inspect ingredients and finished products for freshness, quality, and presentation.
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, and cooking techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain clean fryers, workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Properly store, label, and handle food products.
• Assist with food preparation and support kitchen operations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders efficiently during busy service periods.
• Deliver a positive guest experience while demonstrating professionalism and strong customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
