Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $15.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist in preparing and operating machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. - Follow basic instructions and read simple blueprints or work orders to understand required tasks. - Input simple commands or load pre-programmed settings into machines as directed. Load raw materials and parts onto machines and support machine setup for production runs. - Perform routine checks on machinery and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance. - Pick and pull orders from inventory, package, label, and prepare boxes as needed. - Perform basic inspections of parts using visual checks and simple measuring tools. - Notify supervisors of defects or issues and assist with sorting acceptable and non-conforming parts. - Handle tools and materials safely, including sharp cutting tools, following safety guidelines. Machine Operator Requirements: - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. - Willingness to learn machine operation and follow instructions closely. - Basic hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. - Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stay focused. - Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects. - Ability to occasionally stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., and frequently lift up to 15 lbs.
