General Information:

The Office of the Registrar at James Madison University is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Transfer Credit team as a Coordinator of Special Population Transitions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Coordinate receipt/review of transcripts for admitted special populations such as Student Athletes, Adult Degree, Military, RN to BSN and international students.
* Review course descriptions and consult with academic departments to assign credit to a JMU equivalent course.
* Counsel prospective students and advisors on transfer policies.
* Post credit to matriculated students' official record using the student administration system.
* Coordinate transfer credit requests for continuing special population students.
* Assist in updating the Transfer Credit Equivalency Guide using the Transfer Evaluation System.
* Support the Veterans Benefits Team by analyzing prior learning credits and executing student enrollment reporting within VA's Enrollment Manager system.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
* Ability to handle and prioritize a large volume of work.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of student record.
* Ability to work independently but seek advice and direction from supervisor as needed.
* Ability to serve constituents in personable and efficient manner.

Additional Considerations:
* Knowledge of university and office policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of functionality of student administration system
* Knowledge/understanding of system setup as related to work tasks.
