APPLY TODAY What You'll Do: Develop System Safety Program Plans (SSPPs), Hazard Analyses, and Safety Assessment Reports in accordance with MIL-STD-882E. Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate hardware, software, and operational interfaces and identify potential system risks. Partner with customer stakeholders to define, implement, and validate system safety requirements. Support verification and validation efforts by ensuring safety requirements are documented and traceable throughout the system lifecycle. Present system safety assessments, hazard analyses, and risk mitigation strategies during customer design review meetings. Job Requirements What You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 5+ years of experience in DO-178 and DO-254 development processes. 5+ years of experience in ARP4754/ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E. 5+ years of experience in MIL-HDBK-516. 5+ years of experience in USAF Airworthiness Circular 17-01 (AC-17-01). 5+ years of experience with reliability assessments such as FMEA, FMECA, FTA, FRACAS and RCCA. What Sets You Apart: Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other SW certification such as DO-178/DO-254. Reporting hazardous materials (NAS-411). Assessing Human Machine Interfaces (MIL-STD-1472). STAMP/STPA. Ability to internalize requirements definition and document System Safety artifacts in DOORS or Cameo Strong oral/written communication and customer interface skills a necessity and presentation skills. Strong investigation skills (able to identify hazards in the system and collaborate with multiple other engineers).
