Position Title: Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer
Wage: $79,040.00-$93,600.00/year Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday (Unlimited OT) QPS Employment Group is hiring a Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer for a company in Kansas City, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift. Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mill-turn machines - Read, edit, and write G-code (Fanuc controls required) - Machine precision components to tight tolerances (as tight as 0.0007") - Perform tool selection, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality standards - Work with live tooling, sub-spindles, and dual-spindle machines - Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and process instructions - Complete parts start-to-finish with minimal supervision - Maintain high quality standards and support first article inspections - Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer Requirements: - Minimum 5+ years CNC machining experience (lathe-focused) - Strong experience with sub-spindle operations and live tooling, reading and writing G-code, Fanuc controls - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and prints - Proven sense of urgency in a high-pressure environment - Experience in a job shop or high-mix manufacturing environment - Measurement and inspection expertise - Comfort working within tight tolerances - Strong attention to detail and quality - Ownership mentality, take pride in your work from start to finish - Ability to solve problems through troubleshooting and research - Working in a fast-paced environment with strong accuracy and attention to detail - Preferred oil and gas or oil field machining experience (a plus) - Preferred multi-axis machining (mill-turn / 9-axis machines) - Preferred dual-spindle and multi-tasking systems - Preferred setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization - Work with advanced equipment including live-tool lathes and sub-spindle machines, 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes, 9-axis mill-turn machines, Mori Seiki horizontal mill, Hyundai WIA CNC lathes, Robotic automation systems, Halter automated cell systems, Wire EDM IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
