Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$28.88 - $37.54 / hour

The Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI) provides clinical coordination and therapeutic interventions through assessment, coordination, referral, and interdisciplinary planning for high-risk population. The Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern also links people to systems that provide them with resources, services, and opportunities to achieve and maintain maximum functioning. Additionally, provides counseling and support to patients/families regarding adjustments to the disease process and illnesses. The Registered Clinical Social Worker intern will provide mental health evaluations and ongoing therapy for Lee Health patients under the direct supervision of a LCSW qualified supervisor.

The social work practice that occurs in hospitals and other health care settings to facilitate health, prevent illness and aid physically ill patients and their families to resolve the social and psychological problems related to the illness. Social work also sensitizes other health care providers about the social psychological aspects of illness.

Education: Masters degree in social work.

Experience: 2 years of social work experience in medical or healthcare setting preferred.

License: Must meet requirements and be eligible for the Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern license.

Other: Upon completion of the two-year program, eligible RCSWI Interns should apply for vacant LCSW position within the Health System. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Effective coping mechanisms. General computer skills and ability to effectively multi-task responsibilities.
