AMER Business Marketing Analytics & Recertified Storage Analytics Intern - Summer 2026

We are seeking an Intern to support strategic research, business analytics, and market assessment initiatives focused on two high-growth areas: AI-driven market segments/applications and recertified storage solutions.

This role is designed for an MBA intern or a highly capable undergraduate student with strong analytical skills and an interest in AI infrastructure, data centers, storage technology, circular economy business models, and market strategy. The intern will help develop actionable business insights that connect technology trends, infrastructure requirements, customer pain points, ecosystem dynamics, and future storage demand.

The ideal candidate is inquisitive, structured in problem-solving, and able to translate complex technical and market information into executive-ready business recommendations.

The intern's work will help inform strategic decision-making in two important areas of future growth.

First, the intern will contribute to a clearer understanding of market segments and applications. Additionally, how AI workloads may shape future storage demand across training, inferencing, deployment, and retention environments. These insights can help the business better anticipate market needs, identify high-value use cases, and position storage solutions within evolving AI infrastructure architectures.

Second, the intern will support the development of a more structured view of the recertified storage market. By analyzing archival data centers, ecosystem participants, customer pain points, geographic growth areas, and partner routes to market, the intern will help identify where recertified storage products may create customer value, expand addressable markets, support sustainability objectives, and improve lifecycle monetization.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analytics - AI Infrastructure & Storage Demand

• Analyze AI workloads across the market segments, including data collection, data preparation, model training, inferencing, model deployment, and long-term retention.
• Research frontier AI models and AI platforms, including Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, and other emerging models, to assess potential infrastructure and storage implications.
• Evaluate how different AI workload patterns may impact the need for Flash, HDD, object storage, file storage, block storage, and hybrid storage architectures.
• Identify market signals, technology shifts, and customer requirements that may influence future storage growth.
• Synthesize findings into clear business objectives , executive presentations, and strategic recommendations on target market segments and applications.

Recertified Storage Analytics - Market, Ecosystem & Opportunity Assessment

• Support development of go-to-market hypotheses, partner segmentation, and strategic opportunity sizing.
• Analyze geographic growth regions and market segment hotspots where recertified storage may have stronger demand potential.
• Analyze how archival, backup, cold-data, and secondary-storage environments deploy, refresh, manage, and retire storage infrastructure.
• Assess customer pain points related to storage lifecycle management, including cost, capacity planning, warranty, sustainability, data retention, operational complexity, and asset disposition.
• Map relevant ecosystem participants, including Global Systems Integrators, IT Asset Disposition providers, value-added resellers, channel partners, system builders, managed service providers, and specialized archival data center operators.

• Strong interest in AI infrastructure, data centers, enterprise technology, cloud computing, storage systems, or technology market strategy.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, frameworks, and recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct structured market research and translate findings into business insights.

• Currently pursuing an MBA, master's degree, or undergraduate degree in Business, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, and/or a related field and returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort working with market data, customer segmentation, competitive information, and forecasting assumptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization or analytical modeling is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or coursework in business analytics, market sizing, competitive strategy, technology strategy, supply chain, or product marketing.
• Familiarity with AI infrastructure concepts, including GPUs, model training, inferencing, data pipelines, data lakes, and enterprise AI deployment.
• Understanding of storage technologies such as HDD, SSD, Flash, object storage, file storage, block storage, NAS, archival storage, and hybrid storage architectures.
• Interest in sustainability, circular economy business models, refurbished or recertified technology markets, and product lifecycle monetization.
• Ability to build structured Excel models, market maps, segmentation frameworks, and executive dashboards.
• Experience with secondary research, industry reports, competitive benchmarking, customer interviews, or partner ecosystem analysis.
• Comfort synthesizing technical concepts into business-oriented insights for senior leaders.

Theestimated base wage range for this position is $22.00 - $33.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employeestock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hoursof paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
