Position Summary

Set up, adjust, prepare, operate, and maintain manual and complex CNC milling, multiple spindle, drilling, turning machines, and grinders to perform a variety of machining operations

Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities

• Hold effective and informative daily team meetings at shift start up.
• Responsible for team keeping work area clean and maintaining a high degree of quality and safety.
• Responsible for the team's accurate compilation and communication of required information (i.e. Andon, DXH charts, TIBs).
• Lead 5s initiative and maintain safe work methods in designated work area.
• Be a champion of quality.
• Coordinate scheduling activities within the assigned areas.
• Ensure that designated priorities are being followed by the team.
• Identify training needs within the area of responsibility.
• Conduct training where appropriate or arrange for other trainers to complete training.
• Assist with coordinating Kaizen activities and Problem-Solving activities that will help make improvements to the overall efficiency of our area, also have the willingness to participate in set projects.
• Assist with conducting audits within the department.
• Reports any activities or situations bearing a negative impact on the department's image or goals to supervisor or member of management.
• Maintains overall performance appraisal at a "meets" or higher level.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
