Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $20.50-$21.73 per hour QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position at a company in Madison, WI. This position has the opportunity for hire. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification. - Machine readiness - inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up; identify issues which adversely affect product requirements. - Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution. - Ensure part quality meets established standards and follow Good Manufacturing Practices. - Complete all shift documentation/paperwork. - Shift hand-off: go over job status and updates with incoming shift. - Participate in safety programs, follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Machine Operator Requirements: - Lift up to 10 lbs. continuously (cases of product and hand tools). - Lift 11-30 lbs. regularly (3-4 times per shift). - Lift 31-50 lbs. occasionally (1-2 lbs. per shift). - Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist and stand for long periods of time. - Ability to work in warm environments. - One year of manufacturing or related experience. - Mechanical aptitude. - Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements. - Basic math skills. - Computer and software skills.
