Phlebotomist I Location: 2633 Celanese Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 Duration: 3 Months with potential to extend Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Work Setting: Onsite, Doctor's Office Training: 2 weeks at Rock Hill PSC, 2460 India Hook Rd, Suite 101, Rock Hill, SC 29732 Job Summary The Phlebotomist I will perform blood draws and specimen processing for patients of all ages in a physician's office setting. The role requires strong patient service skills, general computer knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The phlebotomist will perform approximately 40+ draws per day while maintaining accurate specimen handling and supporting efficient patient workflow. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood draws for patients of all ages. Process and handle specimens accurately according to laboratory procedures. Collect and properly identify patient specimens. Verify patient information and ensure accurate specimen labeling. Provide a positive, professional, and patient-focused experience. Communicate clearly and courteously with patients. Use computer systems to enter and maintain patient and specimen information. Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols. Maintain an organized and efficient work area. Support daily workflow and complete approximately 40+ blood draws per day. Stand for most of the workday while performing phlebotomy and patient-care duties. Work independently while maintaining quality and accuracy. Complete required training, including computer training and hands-on phlebotomy training. Minimum Qualifications 0-1+ years of phlebotomy experience. Previous blood-drawing experience is required; candidates with no experience will not be considered. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to perform blood draws on patients of all ages. Basic computer knowledge. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient-focused approach with strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently in a physician's office environment. Requirements RTB: Required. Must be comfortable performing approximately 40+ draws per day. Must be comfortable working with patients of all ages. Must be able to stand for most of the workday. Must be comfortable working independently. Training: 2 weeks; first week focused on computer training followed by hands-on training. Work Location: Onsite at Piedmont Family Practice in Rock Hill, SC. Interview: One onsite individual interview.
