About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager 1 (SET MRB Engineer) to support Lam Research's Global Operations organization as a key member of the Material Review Board (MRB) team. In this role, you'll manage supplier-related quality issues, drive resolution of nonconformances, coordinate cross-functional investigations, and help ensure product quality and operational continuity across manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do:
- Manage supplier-related nonconforming material issues through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Participate in daily MRB reviews and coordinate disposition activities with supplier quality engineers and manufacturing teams.
- Initiate containment actions to minimize operational disruption and quality risks.
- Drive timely closure of MRB records through stakeholder coordination and escalation management.
- Facilitate discussions when ownership or supplier responsibility disputes arise.
- Monitor MRB aging, action-item status, bottlenecks, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate investigations, supplier inspections, rework activities, and corrective action plans.
- Analyze recurring quality issues and drive root-cause resolution efforts.
- Develop reports, presentations, and performance metrics for management review.
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing nonconformances and improving MRB effectiveness.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Supplier teams to ensure timely problem resolution.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, operations, quality assurance, or related manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years of experience managing nonconformance issues, MRB activities, corrective actions, or quality investigations.
- 3+ years of experience working within manufacturing, supplier quality, or production operations environments.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, root-cause analysis, or continuous improvement tools.
- 2+ years of experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, or quality improvement methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience facilitating cross-functional meetings and driving stakeholder alignment.
- 3+ years of experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or high-technology manufacturing environments.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with supplier quality management and supplier corrective action programs.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, welding, casting, plating, coatings, or similar operations.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Demonstrated success leading data-driven problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Experience influencing teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to resolve conflicts, build consensus, and drive actionable outcomes.
- Experience developing process documentation, presentations, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Experience analyzing data and using metrics to support operational and quality decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Strong project coordination, organizational, and prioritization skills.
