Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Pritchard Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Scholar position. The scholar will lead in vivo mouse studies at the interface of evolution, synthetic biology, and targeted therapy, supporting an NIH-funded program (5 year grant) that develops "selection gene drives," a regulated gene therapy that partners with standard-of-care targeted therapies to overcome drug resistance. The successful candidate will design and execute efficacy and safety studies across cell line-derived xenograft (CDX), orthotopic, patient-derived xenograft (PDX), and immune-competent syngeneic models, including intravenous vector delivery, in vivo imaging (IVIS, micro-CT), and pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and toxicology cohorts. Qualified individuals will hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment in Biomedical Engineering or a related scientific field and will have extensive hands-on experience with mouse tumor models and in vivo techniques including IP, IV and SC injections, oral gavage, as well as modern molecular biology.
