Role Mission As the Product Manager - Power Transmission (P.T.), you will lead the sales focus for P.T. product initiatives, support the sales team with technical credibility and application knowledge, while managing vendor engagement and market growth. You will act as a liaison between sales and the product line's supportive services while promoting Kurz's full range of power transmission, mechanical products and services. Key Job Responsibilities Lead application sales focus for power transmission opportunities. Participate in customer visits to assess opportunities and communicate Kurz's capabilities. Support the sales team in learning power transmission "language" and technical framing. Manage and grow vendor relationships and coordinate sales strategy and reviews. Drive industrial gearbox repair/replacement efforts and lead strategic targeting. Serve as point person for Dodge, SEW and Affiliated Distributors full P.T. line while offering application specific gearbox and conveyor solution support. Support product expansion through our on-site services channel. Conduct internal sales training around the managed product lines. Help vet leads and delegate technical needs to appropriate sales team members. Build out pricing strategy with expected margins. Manage inventory to support sales initiatives. Review past sales by customers and identify targets with a plan per this history. Competencies Associate's degree in engineering, technology, technical sales or similar field of study. 5+ years in power transmission system support or electromechanical distribution. Strong gearbox and P.T. knowledge with practical application experience. In-depth experience with Dodge, SEW, Nord and other P.T. product lines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments. Effective vendor relationship management and strategic planning capabilities. Proven record of delivering growth in technical sales environments. Comfortable leading sales initiatives and technical product management. Capable of mentoring and educating sales teams in power transmission knowledge and sales tactics. Keys to Success Core Values: This person lives out our 6 Kurz company core values well.
