Sanitation Worker

PUBLIC WORKS SANITATION SWINGPERSON BOROUGH OF GLEN ROCK, Bergen County, seeks qualified individual for entry level full-time (40 hours per week) position for the following duties & responsibilities:

• Sanitation Collector: collect & dispose of daily household trash, heavy bulk, recycling, etc.
• Road Dept. Laborer: construction, maintenance, repair and clean streets, drainage systems, parks and playgrounds, vehicle fleet and equipment, public buildings and facilities, leaf, brush, snow removal, etc. Lifting and/or heavy manual labor in adverse weather conditions is required.
• Tree Crew Laborer: pruning, felling, de-limbing and cross-cutting of trees using specialty equipment. This is a physically demanding role working outside in all weather conditions. Preferably have 5 years+ prior work-related experience, safely operate related equipment (chain saws, chipping machines, common hand tools, dump truck, bucket truck, etc.), reliable and hard working. Prior climbing and rigging experience is preferred.

Successful applicants are required to possess a valid New Jersey drivers license, CDL Class B, minimum.
