Job Duties

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished fasteners for dimensional accuracy and visual defects .
• Use micrometers, calipers, thread plug and ring gages, optical comparators, and other precision tools to verify tolerances Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Document inspection results in Excel and generate quality reports in Word Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained Support internal audits and assist in continuous improvement initiatives

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the fastener or precision manufacturing industry.
• Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar credential
• Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector.
• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Knowledge of ERP or quality management systems (QMS)
• understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
