Manufacturing Technician III, 2nd Shift

Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers smart solutions for light delivery and image transmission in demanding environments - from medical devices, industrial, and safety applications to aviation and automotive. With manufacturing sites in Europe and North America, and supported by SCHOTT's global sales network, we are a leading supplier of high-quality fiber optic and LED components.

• Provide technical and electrical support to Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve existing products and support new product development.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, customers, suppliers, and vendors to support application-specific solutions and product enhancements.
• Build, test, and evaluate prototypes while performing measurements using a variety of test equipment to validate product performance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve test methods, operational procedures, product assembly instructions, and engineering documentation in accordance with industry standards.
• Support product design activities by evaluating components, identifying improvement opportunities, estimating costs, and implementing practical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, modify, repair, and improve products and equipment, including investigating returned materials and addressing nonconforming product issues.
• Maintain inventory and material control processes, support MRP-related documentation, train team members, and help ensure consistent module performance while following all safety requirements.

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred, with a minimum of four years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Experience interpreting schematics and design drawings, using test equipment, and supporting technical problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems, technical writing, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong organizational skills; experience with training systems, TWI methodologies, and project management is preferred.
• Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
