Ensure the Next-Gen Discovery brand, core values, and curriculum are implemented with high quality and professionalism.

Manage local program data, track student metrics, and maintain inventory of program laptops, kits, and technology.

Summer STEM Camps (Craftsman Phase)

Secure camp locations on/near the installation and set up camp schedules.

Recruit, onboard, and prepare local camp teachers; ensure they have all necessary classroom materials and curriculum.

Coordinate base tours, museum visits, and recruit local military/civilian Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for camp demonstrations.

Attend camp each day to monitor safety, manage student behavior, and support teachers (including stepping in to lead activities if needed).

Student Internships (Junior Apprentice & Apprentice Phases)

Recruit and match high school and college students with Air Force mentors in their desired STEM fields.

Coordinate student onboarding, base access, and Common Access Card (CAC) security processing with base security.

Conduct regular "welfare checks" with interns and mentors throughout the summer to monitor performance and address any concerns.

Organize professional development events and coordinate final student presentations.

Community Outreach & Recruitment

Build strong relationships with local school districts, teachers, and community organizations to promote the program.

Manage the local student application and review process using the program's selection rubric.

Promote the program through local media, base public affairs, and social media channels.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree required (STEM background or education experience is a major plus).

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in project management, educational coordination, or a similar leadership role.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a favorable government trustworthiness determination (NACI/SF85) for base and network access.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to base leadership, school administrators, parents, and students.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database/project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).

Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be comfortable working with students ages 11 and up.

Ability to walk moderate distances (during base/site tours) and occasionally lift/move camp material boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.

Work is primarily in an office or classroom setting, with occasional outdoor exposure during summer camp activities.
