Job Summary Optimum Communications is looking for an energized intern who has a career aspiration in wireless industry and a strong desire to grow product management skills, to be part of the team that leads innovation in the mobile device product portfolio and product management, that will drive the future growth of our mobile business. As an intern on the Mobile Device Product Management team will play an important role in bolstering the strategic expansion of our mobile product. Opportunity to learn and encompasses comprehensive management of device and accessory product management from portfolio planning and product go-to-market (GTM) strategies, flawless launch execution and lifecycle management. The focus is on supporting the acceleration of mobile device and accessory revenue, enhancing device attach rates, and securing market share growth, all in line with our corporate budget objectives. Candidate characteristics include: - Strategic thinking - Disruptive thinker not constrained by how direction was set in the past - Looks for growth opportunities - Good balance of creativity, problem solving and analytical thinking - Strong attention to detail Responsibilities * Product P/L objectives support: contributes to achieving and exceeding corporate budget goals by driving initiatives that boost profitable revenue, device attach growth, accessory sales and market gain. Works closely with cross-functional teams to support the mobile device and accessories growth vision. * Customer-Centric Mindset: Advocates for the Voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle. Understands customer demographics, segmentation and needs by analyzing market trends, and spearheads product GTM and launches that drive device and accessories growth and attach rates. * 4P's & Product Commercialization: Creating 4P's and GTM briefing, facilitating comprehensive understanding of the product's key selling points and value proposition across the organization, especially with retails sales. * Market Analysis & Competitive Insights: Keeps eyes on industry's dynamic changes, conducts competitive analysis and market research. * Device Launch Execution: mobile device launch execution, coordinating with various organizational departments and OEMs to ensure a seamless product GTM launch, inventory monitoring, store stocking strategy, sales performance monitoring, forecasting and reporting. * Ownership: Demonstrates an ownership mentality by being accountable for the work's quality and success. Simplifies complex concepts for different audiences and undertakes various responsibilities as needed. Adhere to our operating Principles, prioritize the customer's need, achieve collectively, drive result and growth, respect and foster inclusion & diversity. * Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills * Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work cross-functionally * Strong understanding of business fundamentals of a product and market (like share gains, profitability, addressable market) * Strong business acumen and desire for exposure to many functional areas, including product management, business development, vendor relationship management, product marketing, and marketing * Demonstrated ability to facilitate communications and projects across cross functional teams * Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communications skills, including listening and presentation skills * Engineering background and/or technical expertise in technology not required but preferred * Advanced knowledge of business to consumer telecommunications products and technologies with product management and/or product development not required but appreciated * Solid understanding of wireless access technologies, Wi-Fi, home automation/IoT or home security not required but appreciated. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $25.00 / hour.
