This position is responsible for driving the consistent implementation and measurement of ongoing training programs, processes, and learning initiatives in Americas Manufacturing. The position focuses on needs identification, design, and delivery of manufacturing technical development programs and supporting training. This position allows opportunity for the incumbent to drive improvements and change within Americas Manufacturing training organization by identifying, developing, and implementing learning strategies that focus on core manufacturing processes. A Day in the Life
The position will provide direction, oversight, and project management for the GTLS Training Programs at all the sites located in the Americas Manufacturing organization. The incumbent will be responsible for developing curriculum, continuously optimize delivery mechanisms (i.e. self-directed learning, digital, etc.), facilitate training, measure curriculum effectiveness, and continuously improve. The ability to consult and work collaboratively with manufacturing site personnel as well as management to get buy-in and accomplish program objectives will be mission critical. Area of Expertise, Requirements * Able to work independently, self-directed, and within a group * Utilize instructional design and adult learning principles * Practical understanding of operations and maintenance tasks * Knowledgeable of the training systems utilized for site operations and maintenance personnel * Knowledgeable of HSE training systems, including Operational Discipline, Human and Organizational Performance (H&OP), Process Safety, and OE Standards * Must be highly self-sufficient and driven for results * Understand and anticipates internal and external customer needs and ensure those needs are met in a way that is aligned with learning objectives * Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and achieve results through the contributions of other people from various operational units within Americas Manufacturing * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at multiple levels in order to accomplish continued evolution of GTLS programs * Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and change * Takes initiative, is a self-starter; demonstrates a bias for action * Ability to prioritize, adapt to shifting priorities, and is able to balance multiple competing items * Exhibits an innovative mindset with desire to continuously improve * Learn and utilize change management, transformation, and other LYB value generation concepts * Exhibits interest in digital tools to evolve to today's workforce learning needs You Bring This Value
* High school education required. * Formal instruction design training preferred. Work Experience * Demonstrated experience in project management. * Experience in manufacturing and some combination of leadership, leadership training, and instructional design. * Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience * Minimum of 5 years of experience in training development and deployment background * Experience working with or leading HSE program areas is preferred What We Offer Competencies
