Employment Specialist IV

Location: Cumberland County, Maine
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Hours: Monday-Friday, between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

As an Employment Specialist, you'll help individuals receiving behavioral health services find and maintain meaningful employment. You'll work one-on-one with job seekers, connect with local employers, and collaborate with community partners to create opportunities that support long-term success.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with individuals to discuss career interests, skills, strengths, and job goals.
  • Help participants search for jobs, prepare resumes, and practice interview skills.
  • Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities.
  • Connect individuals with community resources that support employment success.
  • Provide coaching and support before, during, and after job placement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and support networks.
  • Maintain documentation and track participant progress.
  • Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities throughout the community.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Master's Degree in education, counseling, or social services or Bachelor's degree plus five years' experience in vocational counseling / rehabilitation required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification or obtain certification within six months from hire date required.
  3. Experience: Five years' experience in related field required.

The pay range for this position is $66,123.20to $89,481.60per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
