What to Expect We are looking for an experienced individual to lead team managing Supply Chain of Flexible Printed Circuits. This position will focus on leading one of the most strategic categories and include managing a Global supply base, developing, and owning supplier and partner relationships, defining the category and supply base strategy, management and negotiation of Supply Agreements and related contractual execution activities. An ideal candidate will have high ambition to grow within Tesla and bring high energy/impact to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities/difficult obstacles through collection of facts & data, advanced planning, evaluation of alternatives, open-mindedness, thought-through strategy, and superior communications to lead cross-functional organizations through sourcing activities. What You'll Do Own RFQs and contract management - ensuring NDAs, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and related contracts are negotiated, agreed, and documented before business is initiated Drive piece price and product development negotiations to ensure pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations and Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality Ensure contracts are drafted, negotiated, and executed effectively with key supplier partners, while driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives Cover all areas of FPC component management including business plans, market intelligence, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies Manage supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews Participate in DFM reviews, change control meetings, and technical discussions with Engineering and SIE partners, driving decisions from a cost and supply perspective Understand technical drawings, specifications, and FPC manufacturing process trade-offs to inform sourcing and supply decisions What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Business Development, Strategic Deals 3+ years managing and leading team of senior supply chain managers Experience and knowledge in Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC) and associated component and assembly technologies Strong understanding of costing concepts, i.e, cost reduction strategies, cost modeling etc Experience in supplier evaluation/selection and strong contract negotiation skills Experience building relationships with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional partners and drive discussions around optimization of technical specifications, and features vs. value trade-offs Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or equivalent experience Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $160,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
