Location: 8 Farmfield Avenue, Charleston, SC

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Interview Mode: Video Conference - Teams/Webex with Hiring Manager

Candidate must have minimum 1 year of experience. Covering PSC location with one other phleb. Pediatric and geriatric experience preferred. Will be registering patients along with specimen processing.


Position Summary

The Phlebotomist I will support the PSC location alongside another phlebotomist. The role will involve performing blood draws, registering patients, processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient and specimen information. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, with pediatric and geriatric experience preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood collection from patients.
  • Register patients and verify patient information accurately.
  • Collect, label, process, and handle specimens according to established procedures.
  • Perform specimen processing as required.
  • Maintain accurate specimen identification and documentation.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Support daily workflow at the PSC location.
  • Maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection and processing process.
  • Follow all applicable laboratory, OSHA, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with other phlebotomy and laboratory-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with specimen processing.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and specimen identification accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced PSC/laboratory environment.
  • Color vision is required.
  • RTB/TB requirement applies.
