Build your HR career where you can see the impact of your work.

At TWB, a Worthington Steel joint venture, HR is more than policies and paperwork. Our HR team works closely with employees and leaders every day, helping build strong teams, solve real business challenges and create a workplace where people can grow and succeed.

We're looking for an HR Generalist who enjoys being where the action is. You'll have the opportunity to work across nearly every area of HR, from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, payroll, performance management and compliance. You'll build relationships across the operation, partner directly with leaders and become a trusted resource for our employees.

If you're looking for a broad HR role where you can continue building your experience, take ownership and make a visible impact, this could be a great next step.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, performance management and workplace concerns.
  • Build relationships across the operation and be an accessible, go-to HR resource for employees at all levels.
  • Partner with leaders on employee development, coaching, performance issues and corrective action.
  • Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations and recommendations for appropriate action.
  • Coordinate recruiting and hiring activities for hourly and salaried positions in partnership with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders.
  • Help create a strong employee experience from day one by supporting onboarding, orientation, employee changes and offboarding.
  • Administer and support employee benefit programs, including enrollment, open enrollment and employee questions.
  • Support payroll administration, including timekeeping, payroll changes, wage and tax information and other payroll-related activities.
  • Administer leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability and parental leave.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on HR policies, employment practices and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Support compensation and employee programs, including merit planning, job classifications and profit sharing processes.
  • Develop and facilitate HR-related training for supervisors and employees.
  • Use HR data and metrics to identify trends, solve problems and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in HR initiatives, projects and program rollouts across TWB and the broader organization.

What You'll Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience, ideally within manufacturing, operations or a similar environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred.
  • Broad HR experience across areas such as employee relations, recruiting, benefits, payroll, compensation and leave administration.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong employee relations, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to assess situations, investigate issues and make thoughtful, practical recommendations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to work with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A hands-on, customer-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Why TWB?

At TWB, you'll have the opportunity to do more than specialize in one piece of HR. You'll gain exposure across the employee lifecycle, work directly with the people running our business and see the impact of your work firsthand.

As a Worthington Steel joint venture, TWB combines the close-knit feel of a local manufacturing operation with the resources, opportunities and strength of a larger organization. We believe in investing in our people, developing talent and creating opportunities to grow.

If you're ready for an HR role where you can build relationships, broaden your experience and make a difference every day, we'd love to meet you.
