Director, Demo Engineering

Summary

The Director, Demo Engineering leads the team responsible for creating scalable, high-impact demo applications that support shorter sales cycles, stronger customer engagement and improved deal outcomes. This role partners across Sales, Presales, Product Commercialization and subject matter experts to define demo strategy, manage delivery priorities, develop technical talent and continuously improve OneStream's standard and industry-specific demonstration assets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Presales and Product Commercialization leadership to define and execute a strategic plan for demo applications and team priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish priorities, scope and timelines for the development and revision of new and existing demo applications.
• Lead technical discussions and guide the team in identifying solutions that align with customer needs, business outcomes and OneStream standards.
• Demonstrate innovative approaches to demo application design, development, technical storytelling and scalable enablement.
• Balance investment, business value and customer impact for proposed demo content creation efforts, challenging scope or approach when appropriate.
• Engage Product, Sales, Presales and subject matter experts, including assigning a Lead Demo Engineer for each demo content initiative.
• Establish, enforce and improve demo development processes, including design standards, naming conventions, code quality and technical requirements.
• Guide the creation of clear and compelling demo stories that support superior demonstrations, presentations and customer conversations.
• Monitor Demo Engineering team contributions throughout each content build project and provide coaching to support quality, consistency and delivery.
• Maintain strong knowledge of OneStream's platform, CPM/EPM market trends, key competitors and evolving Office of Finance needs.
• Lead team development, performance management, coaching, best-practice sharing and skills development to build a high-performing, engaged technical team.
• Identify issues, propose practical solutions and lead improvements through completion within the assigned team, territory or area of responsibility.
• Lead or participate in business improvement initiatives across Product Commercialization and the broader OneStream organization.

Required Education and Experience

• 8+ years of relevant Presales, consulting, demo engineering or related SaaS/technology experience, with demonstrated people leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical experience with OneStream or similar CPM/EPM tools.
• Strong CPM/EPM domain knowledge and experience working with Office of Finance stakeholders.
• Experience with business analysis and financial modelling.
• Track record of consistent Presales performance, team development and effective partnership with Sales leadership.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and identify the right solution for customer needs.
• Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Technology or a related discipline.
• Finance or Accounting background.
• MBA, relevant master's degree or industry certification.

Travel

• Regular travel is expected for this position.
