Description
Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate General Ledger Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. As an Accountant with CWC you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the monthly financial close process. The GL Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, assist with financial reporting, and support accounting operations across multiple business units.
The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. This individual will work closely with accounting, project accounting, payroll, and operational teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial information.
Key Duties & Responsibilities General Ledger Accounting
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This position regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above and below shoulder level. The employee may occasionally be required to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work may be performed in office and active construction-site environments. Construction-site work may involve exposure to heavy equipment, moving machinery, dust, noise, hazardous materials, uneven surfaces, and varying weather conditions. Required personal protective equipment must be worn when applicable. In accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually. The determination of salary is based on the candidate's individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, training, and other job-related factors.
