Role Summary The Contractor Field Services Team Member plays a critical role in supporting customer projects through effective material coordination, inventory management, and jobsite support. By ensuring materials are received, prepared, delivered, and managed accurately and safely, this role helps keep projects moving forward and minimizes disruptions in the field. Success is measured by reliable execution, operational efficiency, and the ability to support positive project outcomes for customers and internal teams. This position requires temporary relocation away from your primary residence for approximately 6-18 months at a time. Key Responsibilities
- The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment for customer projects
- Manage incoming and outgoing project materials
- Pick inventory, cut wire, label products, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Maintain inventory accuracy through tracking and cycle counts
- Support jobsite operations and material coordination
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment as needed
- Inspect, maintain, and organize tools and equipment
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and other equipment safely
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments
- Collaborate with customers and internal business partners
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization
- Cross-train and provide operational support across functions
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Manage company resources and travel-related expenses responsibly
Requirements
Qualifications Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel throughout the United States for extended assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Distribution center, warehouse, construction site, or field operations experience
- Forklift operating experience
- Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or RF scanners
- Willingness to obtain a Class A or B CDL as necessary
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT qualifications as necessary
Physical Requirements
- Frequently standing, walking, and performing physical work for extended periods
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 100lbs
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing, and twisting
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other material handling equipment
- Ability to use hand and power tools, wire-cutting equipment, and other jobsite or warehouse equipment
- Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision to safely perform equipment operation, material handling, inventory tasks, and driving responsibilities
- Ability to hear verbal instructions, equipment alarms, vehicle signals, and other workplace safety warnings
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in warehouses, construction jobsites, laydown yards, and temporary field locations
- Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, rain, and other outdoor elements
- Exposure to moving machinery, powered industrial vehicles, construction equipment, and active worksite hazards
- Frequent exposure to dust, dirt, airborne particles, and construction-related materials
- Moderate-to-high noise levels requiring hearing protection in designated work areas
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hard hats, high-visibility apparel, gloves, steel-toed footwear, and other site-specific safety equipment
- Frequent travel throughout the United States, including overnight and extended assignments lasting months at a time
- Ability to work overtime, extended shifts, evenings, or modified schedules as business and project needs require
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintain eligibility to drive under company and regulatory requirements
