CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.
The Senior Lead Accountant is a senior-level accounting professional responsible for leading complex accounting matters, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, audit support, and internal control activities for assigned entities, functions, or business units. The role operates with a high degree of independence and is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and supportability of significant accounting and reporting deliverables. The Senior Lead Accountant is the technical-track equivalent of a Manager of Accounting and leads through expertise, review authority, project leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and influence rather than direct people management. WORK ENVIRONMENT Currently, the hybrid work environment requires working in CPG's office Tuesdays through Thursdays, with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
