In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing department compliance by developing and implementing strategies that adhere to QMS (Quality Management System) requirements and promote continuous improvement. Support department development and tracking of detail budget items.

At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day for an ISO Lead will include:



  • Review and analyze quality management systems (MQS-Manufacturing Quality Standard, CCP-Critical Control Point, Corrective Action, NCR-Non-Conformance Report) to confirm compliance and capability
  • Manage and support internal and external audits to confirm departments ISO compliance
  • Track and coordinate the review of departmental trigger items to verify countermeasure activity completion and effectiveness
  • Manage and maintain department documentation system to comply with AAP (Alabama Auto Plant), North America and Global quality standards
  • Confirmation of department training and adherence to AAP calibration requirements to drive on time completion of calibration and/or documentation
  • Lead and support development of self and others through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences to achieve compliance of Quality Management Systems
  • Collaboration and communication of QMS (Quality Management System) activity to internal/external departments to understand change points and adopt best practices that will improve plant characteristics
  • Manage and report status of all Mass Production change point documentation to ensure traceability and final closure
  • Roll up detail cost information based on assets, location and sub department

Qualifications



  • 5 years manufacturing experience


Knowledge and Skills



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with informational databases
  • Ability to conduct audits and judge compliance with a written standard
  • Ability to create, explain, summarize, and present the key points of activity with effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to create and maintain standards and procedures
  • Ability to lead meetings and conduct one-on-one and group training
  • Management of problems: countermeasure effectiveness
  • PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and Why-Why Analysis
  • Improvement project planning and completion



Additional Position Information



  • Office and production
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Must be willing to work overtime if needed
