Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing - Direct Hire

Location: Johnson City, TN

Schedule: Shift Details Available Upon Interview


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training, electrical certification, or industrial maintenance coursework preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.


Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, sensors, switches, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and basic PLC troubleshooting preferred.
  • Experience with 480V three-phase systems, VFDs, conveyors, and automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters and diagnostic tools.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift tools, parts, and equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs throughout the facility.


Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using meters, testing devices, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Install, wire, and maintain motors, controls, sensors, electrical panels, and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, electrical circuits, control systems, and automated equipment.
  • Support equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, electrical codes, and company safety procedures.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to maintain efficient plant operations.
