Position Summary The UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is eager to put together the right package for an individual with a passion for adult inpatient psychiatry and teaching, coupled with an interest in joining a team of talented, caring and committed faculty members. Applications are being accepted for an academic faculty psychiatrist, suitable for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, for a position as an inpatient attending psychiatrist on our Adult Psychiatry Division's Inpatient Service. Clinical assignment will be at UNM Psychiatric Center. The successful candidate can take full advantage of opportunities available in our vibrant and active academic community. As an attending psychiatrist in our 32-bed adult psychiatry inpatient service, the person selected will have a voice in developing the unit's direction as well as opportunities for multicultural clinical care and scholarly and collaborative research activities across the Health Sciences campus. There are many opportunities for professional development in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoring and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in related disciplines.
