Summary Job Description: Job Summary Scheduling Coordinator will schedule appointments and diagnostic tests/procedures for all patients at Baptist Health Cardiovascular/ Vascular Services. These may include, but are not limited to: follow-up appointments, physician consultations, hospital follow-up appointments and diagnostic tests/ hospital procedures. The Scheduling Coordinator will obtain any required registration, insurance coverage information, referrals and / or pre-certifications from insurance carriers needed. The Scheduling Coordinator will confirm patients' diagnostic appointments, and any scheduled hospital procedures, updates and maintains hospital cards, updates providers with information, and faxes and/or communicates medical information as needed. Scheduling Coordinators are also responsible for verifying accuracy of the diagnostic testing and hospital procedure schedules in the electronic scheduling system.
