Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Driver / Plant Operations Technician performs a variety of tasks, including coordination of internal and external transportation, driving, carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical facility equipment and preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. Technicians are required to repair and replace parts in equipment throughout the hospital in accordance with diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals using various hand and power tools. Troubleshoots and performs various tests on equipment in making operational assessments. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years' experience in a related maintenance field, technical or trade school preferred. Additional Requirements: Must have a clean driving record, and be able to pass a driving test including a road test. Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions, as well as experience in the area of building maintenance.
