Lead AI Engineer - (employer: Twin Health, Inc.; job location: U.S. remote) - Design and develop AI-driven product features using generative AI, LLM-based agents, deep learning, and personalized recommendation systems to deliver individualized member experiences. Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products, including ideation, prototyping, model development, deployment, and ongoing optimization in production environments. Apply advanced prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and conversational AI techniques to build adaptive, personalized solutions. Build and improve machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to support behavior change interventions and sustained improvements in metabolic health outcomes. Analyze large-scale datasets using SQL, Python, and data analysis tools to evaluate model performance, identify trends in member behavior, and inform product improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, medical research, business analytics, and engineering teams to design, implement, and deliver end-to-end AI-powered member and clinician experiences. Influence product roadmap decisions by translating data-driven insights, model outcomes, and member feedback into actionable product recommendations. Implement product-ready AI systems using MLOps practices, ensuring scalable deployment, monitoring, model evaluation, and system reliability. Provide technical leadership in architectural design decisions, conduct code and design reviews, and mentor team members on AI/ML best practices. Coordinate technical execution across multiple AI initiatives to ensure alignment with product requirements, project timelines, and quality standards. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: developing and deploying machine learning and AI systems in production environments; PyTorch or TensorFlow; utilizing Python and SQL for data analysis and model development; Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG); building and deploying conversational AI agents or chatbot systems; training, fine-tuning, and evaluating transformer-based models; Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), model deployment, and production monitoring; working with large-scale datasets and data analysis tools; applying machine learning to healthcare, digital health or behavior change applications (or similar consumer-facing products); personalized recommendation systems or adaptive AI solutions; translating business requirements into AI/ML solutions through cross-functional collaboration; Multimodal AI systems; using model optimization techniques for production environment; and LLM frameworks such as LangChain or similar.
