Position Summary

NuVision Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering and field service projects supporting the commercial nuclear industry. In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from proposal development through successful execution, working closely with customers, engineering teams, and field personnel to deliver innovative technical solutions.


This position offers the opportunity to lead diverse projects, develop strong customer relationships, and collaborate with experienced technical professionals across the organization.


Based in Pittsburgh, PA, this role is open to qualified candidates nationwide who are interested in relocating to the area.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Lead engineering and field service projects from initial planning and proposal development through execution and closeout.



  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.



  • Serve as the primary customer contact, building strong relationships and communicating project progress, challenges, and solutions.



  • Collaborate with engineering teams, field personnel, and subcontractors to coordinate technical and operational activities.



  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.



  • Provide on-site project leadership and support during scheduled customer outages and field assignments.



  • Contribute to project estimating, proposal development, and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience



  • 3 + years of progressive project management, project engineering or project coordination experience in technical industries.
  • Experience managing engineering projects and field execution activities
  • Experience in commercial nuclear, power generation, industrial field services, or other highly regulated technical environments is valued.
  • Commercial nuclear outage experience preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer relationships
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects preferred


Technical Skills



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Strong project scheduling and planning capabilities
  • Experience with project cost tracking and forecasting
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience with proposal development and project estimating preferred


Additional Requirements



  • Ability to meet applicable background screening, fitness-for-duty, and other requirements necessary to obtain and maintain unescorted access to commercial nuclear facilities
  • Ability to complete required radiation safety training and meet applicable facility requirements for working in radiologically controlled areas
  • Travel to customer facilities is required to support project execution, including occasional extended assignments during scheduled nuclear outages. Travel is expected to average approximately 50% annually, with advance planning whenever possible
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced business environment where flexibility and ownership are essential
