The SkyWater Austin, Texas site is hiring a Staff Industrial Engineer to serve as a technical and strategic leader within the Industrial Engineering team, applying advanced modeling techniques, data analytics, statistical methods, and factory planning concepts to optimize overall fab performance. The Staff Industrial Engineer will drive longrange factory strategies, lead crossfunctional initiatives, mentor engineers, and act as a key contributor to major operational and capital planning decisions.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the development of advanced analytics, predictive models, and decisionsupport systems that shape longterm factory strategy and performance
  • Drive factory-wide initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Cycle Time, throughput, and bottleneck tool performance
  • Own strategic direction for multiple functional areas, creating longterm roadmaps and aligning improvement plans with business objectives
  • Partner with Operations leadership to define factory metrics and prioritize high-impact improvements
  • Engage with on-floor personnel to identify and eliminate tactical factory constraints


  • Mentor and coach team members at all levels, providing technical leadership on highimpact projects
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to factory leadership to influence strategic planning and policy decisions


  • Develop and improve business processes that elevate the capabilities of the Industrial Engineering team


Required Qualifications:



  • BS in Industrial Engineering or related technical degree
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with modeling techniques, statistical methods, and planning tools used in Manufacturing Science and Production Control
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable factory improvements
  • Strong proficiency with Data Mining & Analytics using ETL tools such as SQL, APF, Google Big Query, Oracle, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for leadership


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Experience developing and managing Tableau dashboards or similar visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of APF Real Time Dispatching (RTD)
