Logistics Coordinators

STS Technical Services is hiring a Logistics Coordinator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This role supports daily shipping, receiving, freight coordination and production scheduling activities while helping ensure materials, generators and parts move through the operation accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate has hands-on logistics experience, strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across scheduling, accounting, sales, shipping and receiving teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Logistics Coordinator will manage day-to-day shipment activity, freight requests, receiving schedules and related documentation while overseeing shipping and receiving operations.

This position requires strong communication, problem-solving and supply chain knowledge, along with the ability to keep multiple departments aligned with production requirements and delivery schedules.

• Report daily shipment activity to scheduling and accounting departments
  
• Review emails related to shipments, freight quotes and shipment quality issues
  
• Review production schedules with departments each day to verify accurate dates
  
• Create required shipping paperwork
  
• Prepare labels for job folders
  
• Receive incoming generators
  
• Receive incoming parts and UPS orders
  
• Label incoming items with the correct job numbers
  
• Review current freight vendors to ensure they meet company requirements
  
• Evaluate potential new freight vendors
  
• Send freight quote requests
  
• Review freight responses and provide information to sales personnel
  
• Verify generator receiving dates
  
• Coordinate with sales personnel when receiving dates require correction
  
• Inform scheduling of changes to generator receiving dates
  
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities
  
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
  
• Train staff to meet company expectations
  
• Motivate team members to support demanding production requirements and schedules
  
• Promote workplace safety
  
• Encourage accountability throughout shipping and receiving operations
  

• Minimum of three years of logistics experience
  
• Experience invoicing orders
  
• Experience managing driver paperwork
  
• Knowledge of supply chain operations
  
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
  
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
