Provides administrative support to department managers including day-to-day operations and general office administrative functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs data entry and filing for various processes including Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and other departments as needed.
• Composes and types routine correspondence including general memoranda, meeting minutes, reports and findings.
• Creates and maintains filing systems for company documents and archives files correspondence and other records.
• Assists supervisors in a variety of administrative matters and follows office procedures.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors.
• Effectively interacts with production employees in a fabrication facility for the exchange of information and to conduct inventories.
• Serves as a backup for receptionist, including answering telephones, greeting clients and visitors and assisting in other departments as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

$38,985 - $43,000 / year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in Canam Steel Corp (CSC)'s benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, (plus additional voluntary benefits) and 401K (with employer match).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months - 1 year of administrative experience.
• Strong experience using computers and computer software including MS Word and Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must have the ability to perform multi-task functions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
• Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constant use of computer for prolonged periods.
• Constantly thinking and processing information.
• Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• General office environment.
• May require occasional exposure to production areas with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.
• Personal protection equipment is required when entering a manufacturing plant.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
