Position Overview
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the centralized receiving, processing, tracking, and distribution of mail and packages for research facilities across the University of Kansas Lawrence campus. Based full-time at the Medical Research Building (MRB) loading dock and reporting to the Associate Director for Facilities Services this position serves as the primary point of contact for incoming shipments and mail services supporting research operations.
The Logistics Specialist manages the flow of mail and packages through all stages of the logistics process, including receiving, sorting, processing, tracking, recordkeeping, and distribution. The position plays a critical role in supporting research activities by ensuring efficient and reliable delivery services throughout KU Lawrence research facilities. This position requires the operation of University-issued vehicles. Work Hours: Monday through Friday: 8 am- 5pm with overtime and after hours call back as needed.
