Position Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary on-site HR partner for a growing CDMO manufacturing facility and reports to the Director of HR. This role supports leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle, with responsibility for onboarding, employee relations, performance management, engagement, recruiting, and HR program administration.

This role builds strong relationships across the site, understands operational needs, and provides practical HR solutions that support workforce growth and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-site HR resource for employees and managers.
  • Partner with site leadership on workforce planning, organizational needs, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Provide managers with guidance on performance, attendance, employee relations, policy interpretation, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct or support workplace investigations and employee separations, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Support recruiting for manufacturing, technical, engineering, quality, and professional positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and prepare offers.
  • Coordinate required pre-employment activities in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Support performance management, talent reviews, development planning, and succession discussions.
  • Administer and support HR programs related to benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, training, recognition, and employee development.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data in accordance with company record-retention, confidentiality, and data-privacy requirements.
  • Support compliance with employment laws, company policies, quality requirements, and safety standards.
  • Use workforce data and employee feedback to recommend practical improvements.
  • Plan and execute site employee engagement and wellness initiatives in collaboration with other company locations.
  • Regular on-site presence is required to support employees and business needs
  • Support organizational change, site communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with at least three years of relevant HR experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, engineering, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and HR program administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong relationship-building, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently in a growing, fast-paced environment.

    Good to have:

    • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS applications, and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Experience with ADP preferred.
    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

      Salary Range: $70,000 - $86,000/year based on skills and experience.
