Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $20.35/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 6:20pm-6:30am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Mukwonago, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 3rd shift. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines - Support and adhere to established quality systems and operational procedures - Communicate effectively with supervisors, technical staff, and team members regarding production concerns, equipment issues, or quality defects - Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency - Assist with production coverage and machine operation during employee breaks and lunch periods as needed - Continuously monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency standards are achieved - Arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the shift to communicate important information with the outgoing shift - Review the activity board daily for scheduled color changes, conversions, and equipment set-ups - Create, label, and accurately number production boxes - Read and follow shop orders to verify product specifications and ensure box labels match product requirements - Monitor machine operations using process monitoring systems and respond to machine alerts and bells - Inspect products for quality and identify, remove, and discard defective products or packaging components - Examine products for visible defects and report any significant quality concerns to the technical team - Monitor production output to ensure products meet required quality and quantity standards - Clean and maintain machines and work areas after production activities to ensure optimal equipment performance - Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently - Understand and utilize emergency stop functions on machines, grinders, closing equipment, and auxiliary equipment when necessary - Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing required equipment shutdowns or maintenance activities Machine Operator Requirements: - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors - Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate averages and work with decimals - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products - Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate multiple types of manufacturing equipment - Ability to identify and communicate production defects, equipment concerns, and process issues - Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift - Ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, and move throughout the entire shift - Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity - Demonstrated mechanical aptitude - Ability to distinguish colors, as evidenced by achieving a passing score of 80 or higher on the Farnsworth-Munsell Color Test IND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
