Position Summary

The Unarmed Parking Enforcement Representative is responsible for enforcing parking regulations, monitoring parking facilities, and promoting compliance with established parking policies. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with the public while maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned parking areas.

Representatives will conduct routine patrols, issue parking notices when necessary, document parking violations, and provide information and assistance to customers. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned parking lots, garages, and designated parking areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor parking activity and ensure compliance with posted rules and regulations.
• Issue warnings, citations, or violation notices in accordance with established procedures.
• Document parking violations accurately using handheld devices or reporting systems.
• Provide directions, information, and customer assistance to visitors, employees, and community members.
• Respond to parking-related concerns, complaints, and inquiries professionally.
• Report hazardous conditions, maintenance issues, abandoned vehicles, or suspicious activity.
• Prepare detailed incident and activity reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records of enforcement actions and interactions.
• Collaborate with supervisors, operations personnel, and client representatives regarding parking concerns.
• Support special events, traffic control initiatives, and parking management activities when assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and client requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (if driving is required).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult interactions.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb stairs and navigate parking structures.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to observe and identify parking violations and safety concerns throughout assigned areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous parking enforcement, security, customer service, transportation, or public-facing experience.
• Experience using citation management systems, mobile applications, or handheld devices.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed outdoors and may require extensive walking throughout parking facilities, lots, garages, and surrounding areas. Employees must maintain a professional appearance and positively represent the organization while interacting with the public.
