Sabine Pass Liquefaction Stage 5 Expansion Project (SPL5) is the newest phase at the SPL facility. It will consist of one liquefaction process train with a production capacity of approximately 5 MTPA; one boil-off gas reliquefication unit; tie-ins to existing storage tanks, ship-loading facilities, and flare systems; and associated utility support infrastructure. SPL5 will perform this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors. Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO), a wholly owned Bechtel affiliate company, functions as the construction equipment asset manager of Bechtel Group and is actively engaged in projects across all business lines.In support of its involvement, BEO uses sophisticated estimating and scheduling systems to assist projects in developing bis proposals, equipment lease versus purchase analysis, tool and consumable utilization forecasts, scaffold estimating and supply, and overall construction fleet utilization plans. Job Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist is a senior field procurement position within Bechtel Equipment Operations. The position is based at the Sabine Pass LNG Project Site and reports to the BEO Field Procurement Manager. The specialist independently leads the formation, award, and administration of purchase orders, rental agreements, and related commercial arrangements supporting field execution. The successful candidate will bring extensive construction supply chain experience and strong category knowledge across heavy equipment, small tools, scaffolding, formwork, rigging, lifting accessories, consumables, and related maintenance and field services. The role works closely with Equipment Operations, Construction, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and other procurement personnel to forecast demand, develop sourcing strategies, secure commercially sound commitments, and maintain continuity of supply in alignment with project schedules. #LI-TH1 Major Responsibilities:
