LOCATION: Story City, IA SUMMARY: This position manages the human resources function at APC and serves as a business partner and consultant for the COE, providing HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on a broad range of issues and policies. The Senior HR Manager also works collaboratively with the HR team across all locations on innovative solutions and process improvements and partners with this team to ensure cohesion across the sites. The Senior HR Manager is responsible for supporting exempt and non-exempt employees. In addition, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and executing human resource and business strategies and programs. The Manager also establishes work priorities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of their direct reports at the site. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as well as other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field from a four-year college or university, and at least eight (8) years related experience and/or training, preferred. Candidate must also have strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
