Job Summary

Lead and supervise lab classes and all technical aspects of productions within and outside of lab class hours. Maintain all work areas and equipment with the aid of the Technical Services Committee. This position will interact on a regular basis with: unit staff and students, vendors, campus units, and external partners. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Supervise all technical aspects of productions.

Job Duty 2 -
Lead, with the assistance of student designers and crew chiefs, lab classes in scenic construction and painting, lighting, sound, and costume construction.

Job Duty 3 -
Assist students with all technical aspects of productions outside of lab class hours.

Job Duty 4 -
Assist in the maintenance of all work areas and equipment under the purview of the Technical Services Committee.

Job Duty 5 -
Advise DramaTech leadership in industry standard practices.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Theatre or Production Management or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Vectorworks CAD software

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires independent, on-the-spot decision making to provide business continuity and safety of students, staff, guest artists and the general public.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Experience working with and teaching non-theatre major, college-aged students at varying levels of experience
* Computer skills to include Windows and Mac-based systems, including computer-aided design software
* Working knowledge of Vectorworks CAD software
* Working knowledge of:
o ETC lighting systems and equipment
o Digico and Dante sound systems
o video projection software and hardware
o general carpentry
o sewing
o rigging
o hydraulic lifts

Certifications or licenses required for this job: First Aid certified (training available through GT)
Certifications or licenses preferred: First Aid certified (training available through GT)
