Job Title: Logistics Project Professional 1

Location(s): Wichita, KS

Job Summary:
The Project Logistics Management Professional supports project logistics operations by maintaining and communicating critical information related to master data, delivery schedules, inventory and order status, supplier information, and contract details. The role analyzes logistics operations, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, manages material availability and logistics issues, and supports contingency planning and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, update, and communicate relevant information regarding master data, delivery schedules, stock and order status, and contract information from suppliers, procurement, and logistics service providers.
  • Analyze operational logistics status and proactively inform stakeholders of relevant developments.
  • Identify changing logistics situations and implement appropriate alternative measures.
  • Prepare and communicate deficiency and status reports regarding material and product availability for Project Logistics Management (PLM).
  • Document and process complaints and transportation damages in cooperation with PLM, Purchasing, Insurance, Controlling, Quality, and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Propose and implement remedial measures with transportation service providers.
  • Coordinate the return of logistics infrastructure and on-site equipment used in support of project logistics.
  • Coordinate and steer related logistics operations with service providers.
  • Support PLM in developing, calculating, and implementing logistics contingency measures.
  • Support PLM in completing project evaluations and advancing project-specific customer supply processes.
  • Support PLM with tender preparation and supplier evaluation, as required.
  • Contribute to process improvements, business methods, and technical components within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide functional support and guidance to operational staff or semi-professional colleagues when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with applicable qualifications.
  • Good knowledge of a relevant technical field, logistics process, or business methodology.
  • Basic understanding of the theoretical principles related to the assigned field.
  • Ability to analyze non-routine logistics tasks and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-managed and target-oriented manner.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to team objectives and business processes.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the work site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project logistics, supply chain, procurement, transportation, or materials management.
  • Experience working with logistics service providers and suppliers.
  • Experience handling transportation damage, complaints, returns, and logistics contingencies.
  • Experience with supplier evaluation, tender preparation, or project evaluation.
  • Strong process improvement and analytical skills.

Work Arrangement:

  • On-site. Reliable transportation to the work site is required.

Experience Level:

  • Experienced Professional.
