Job SummaryThis position supports OneOp's Military-Connected Children and Youth (MCCY) program funded by the Department of War and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture. This role leads the production and distribution of high-quality professional development programming for professionals working with military families with children. This position develops, coordinates, and implements organizational priorities and is responsible for long- and short-term planning initiatives. Collaboration with MCCY team members, graduate students, faculty, and staff, OneOp administrative staff, and Department of War (DoW) subject matter experts to develop, enhance, and promote MCCY, OneOp, and Department of Special Education projects and develop relationships between the project and relevant internal and external organizations to provide continuing education credits is also required. Duties & Responsibilities Educational Content Development, Execution, and Promotion
Writing and Publication * Coordinate the development and revision of manuscripts to support and enhance the work of professionals in special education for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals with the MCCY OneOp PI, and department faculty and graduate students * Write and edit blog posts and other forms of web-based publications * Develop and disseminate research-informed professional resources, educational materials, and program content to support practitioners working with military-connected children and youth Research * Collaborate with department faculty and graduate students to develop, support, and contribute to new and ongoing research related to the field of special education * Ensure compliance with research protocols and data management standards Business & Administrative * Develop and administer surveys; collect and manage participant and evaluation data; and maintain program evaluation records and reporting systems * Prepare evaluation reports of project programming to be submitted to DoD partners and larger OneOp administration * Remain abreast of project expenses and overall budget status with Pl oversight * Work with department, college, and OneOp stakeholders to initiate appointments, contracts, agreements, procurement and policies associated with the OneOp grant deliverables and programming Supervision of Graduate Students and Hourly Project Staff * Supervise and lead graduate students in their traineeship experience and hourly project staff to successfully contribute to OneOp's innovative and high-level programming Other duties as necessary Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in special education, education, communication, or related areas. * Minimum of 1 year of experience with web-based and/or in person professional development programming; supervisory and project management; and/or customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in special education, education, communication, or related areas. * Budgeting and expense control experience. * Experience with continuing education program development or planning, video conferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft teams), Qualtrics, social media Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This is a full-time, 12-month, Visiting Academic Professional position. Sponsorship for Work Authorization is not available for this position. The expected start date for one position is as soon as possible after closing. The budgeted salary range for the position is $62,000 to $68,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
