Job Summary: |
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a collaborative professional to provide comprehensive support to post-award research administration, sponsored projects, procurement and administrative operations. The position works with faculty, staff, department leadership, Principal Investigators, research teams, hospital affiliates, and central campus partners to coordinate complex operational and sponsored-project activities while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance. The role combines day-to-day departmental support with post-award research administration, procurement and travel. Key Responsibilities:
Process grant-related invoices through CU Marketplace and coordinate payment of expenditures funded by Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO). Support sponsored project administration by tracking expenditures, maintaining documentation, and assisting faculty and research staff with financial and operational processes. Reconcile purchases against financial detail reports to ensure accuracy and appropriateness Provide travel coordination and reimbursement support for faculty and research personnel in compliance with University and sponsor requirements. Procure research equipment, supplies, and services, ensuring costs are allowable and compliant with grant and institutional guidelines. Liaison for research groups within Department and Procurement Service Center

Remote given small FTE. However, if the FTE increases at any point, the department will reassess the hybrid workspace. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business, business administration, public administration, healthcare administration, research administration, finance, accounting, communications, education, or a directly related field. Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. One (1) year of professional experience with sponsored research, pre-/post-award, financial management or other related research experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with post-award research administration, sponsored-project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, invoicing, or financial reporting. Experience working in a large, complex organization, higher education, academic medicine, healthcare, or a health sciences environment. Experience providing administrative support to senior or executive-level leaders.
Condition of Employment
Must be willing and able to work part-time, with sporadic work schedules, as well as non-guaranteed work hours Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, and tracking tools Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and technology. Ability to maintain effective working relationships and confidentiality across a complex environment. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, sponsor requirements, and established business practices. Working knowledge of budgeting, financial reconciliation, sponsored-project administration, and compliance principles. Independent judgment, analytical problem-solving, accuracy, and accountability. Strong organization, prioritization, project coordination, and time-management skills. Clear and professional oral and written communication.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting hiring range for this hourly position has been established as: $26.24 - $35.16/hour The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on the approved classification. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions. Use the current required compensation and benefits language at the time of posting. |
