Role Overview

This is an on-site role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:



  • Plans, implements, and evaluates appropriate therapeutic activities based on resident needs including large and small groups and one-on-one activities
  • Assists in planning and organizing special events, e.g. birthday parties, religious and holiday activities as assigned and under the supervision of the Life Enrichment Manager
  • Maintains professional milieu in all programs
  • Encourages resident participation in programs and activities, including escorting residents to programs and activities as needed
  • Assists in the coordination and supervision of Volunteers
  • Assists in outings and accompanies residents as needed
  • Coordinates resident newspaper delivery


Compensation

$20.20 per hour; $0.75 shift differential for second shift and weekends

Schedule

Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; OFF Friday and Saturday

Who You Are

Education and/or Experience



  • Required:

    • At least a high school diploma or GED is required.


  • Preferred:

    • An associate's degree in a human services field is preferred.
    • A bachelor's degree in a human services field is strongly preferred.
    • At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly in an institutional setting is preferred.
