Position Title: Shipping and Receiving
Wage: $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm Feeling underpaid or undervalued? This could be the position that you deserve! Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities: - Inspect shipments to ensure they conform to customer requirements - Verify boxes, containers, and skids are stable, properly packaged, and securely sealed for shipment - Assemble and package products according to established specifications - Review shipments for accurate documentation, labeling and packaging - Communicate and work with staff to resolve shipment-related issues - Select the appropriate method of transportation, including UPS, FedEx, or LTL - Ensure required shipping documents are complete and included with shipment paperwork before filing - Communicate shipping discrepancies to Customer Service and Sales - Create and apply shipping labels using shipping software and customer-specific requirements - Use UPS shipping software for outbound shipments - Create barcodes and labels based on customer specifications. Training will be provided - Follow all company safety rules, policies, and regulations - Maintain clean, organized, and safe inventory and storage areas - Assist with general warehouse duties as needed Requirements for Shipping and Receiving: - 1-2 years of warehouse or shipping experience preferred - Valid driver's license - Must successfully complete forklift operator training - Basic computer skills required; experience with shipping software is preferred - Familiarity with UPS shipping software is preferred - Ability to accurately read and understand instructions, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documents - Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using units of weight and length - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally IND012 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
